Greece

Hi! Today’s blog is about travelling. First of all, I have to say that my ideal life is a life full of travelling. I want to meet all the world, every single country.
Today I will write about the travel of my dreams. Since I was a little girl I felt so atracted to greek culture. I was the happiest girl ever on 8th grade, when my History teacher taught us about greek culture. Since that day, the travel of my dream is going to Greece.
Other thing that made me fall in love with Greece was ‘’Mamma mia’’, a musical movie filmed on Greece. I mean, the landscapes are awesome. Who could resist to that beauty?
I know that nowadays Greece is experimenting an economical crisis, but I don’t really care if they still receive travellers.
Someday I will meet the Parthenon and the Achropolis on Athens, and I will also meet Sparta.
I think that Greece is a country full of culture, I mean, we still reading book written by greeks for example. And we also still studying some of the knowledge that the obtained, like geometry, maths, philosophy, theatre and poetry.
If you ask me to describe Greece in one Word, I will say ‘’awesome’’
What do you think of Greece? I hope you had enjoyed my blog J

My favourite subject

Hi!
Today I will write about my favourite subject during my first semester on the University.
When I was on 4th grade I only wanted to go to Uni, so that I could study what I really wanted. The problema is that I didn’t know that I would have some subjects that I will really hate (like Mechanics).
But today I will write about the subject that is perfect for me: I am talking about Techniques of Chemistry laboratory. I am in love with this subject because it is about that part of my career that I enjoy the most: experiments, investigation and lots, lots of science. I think that this subject is probably the most useful of all. I mean, in a future I won’t use exactly all the things that nowadays I am learning on subjects like General chemistry, Mechanics or Calculus, but i will use everything that I am learning about laboratory.
One of the things that I love the most about this subject is that I can practise everything I learnt.
What about you? Do you like this subject?

Greetings J

Alexander Fleming

Science is a field full of amazing people. Some people had make discoveries that had changed the world. Today I am going to write about a man whose discovery changed the way to treat lots of diseases. I will write about Alexander Fleming.

Sir Alexander Fleming was a Scottish pharmacologist, botanist and biologist who lived between 1811 and 1955. His best-known discovery was the enzyme lysozyme. He was also the first person who discovered the antibiotic power of the penicillin, a substance obtained from the mold Penicillium chrysogenum. (Funny fact: he wasn’t looking for this discovery. He could see this results after his holidays! On his own words: "When I woke up just after dawn on September 28, 1928, I certainly didn't plan to revolutionise all medicine by discovering the world's first antibiotic, or bacteria killer, but I suppose that was exactly what I did.")

Alexander Fleming won a Nobel Prize because of that last discovery.

Why did I choose him? Because his discovery still being so important in medicine. I think that the power of antibiotics is fundamental nowadays. Alexander Fleming took the first step to a modern pharmacology and as a future pharmacologist he is one of my icons.

I hope you had enjoyed my post!
