Me + technology

I think that nowadays technology has became a really important part of our lives, and it is a part important of mine. The fact of having contact with the whole planet just by using a little device is incredible, that’s why my favourite technological piece is the smartphone. I love the idea of having a device that makes me capable of talking to any person inside my pocket.

One of the things that I love about smartphones is that it can give me lots of informations about everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. The Internet has replaced libraries and has reduced the time spent on searchings.

Of course these devices were made to make our lives easier, but I think that people is generating a kind of dependence to this pieces of technology, and I don’t think that is correct, because it is causing people the lose of their capacities of thinking by themselves.
I really hope that people understand that we still being people who must think, and that we can not lose that capacities and that we also can’t lose the capacity of imagination.
Thanks for reading ;)

I really hate this picture, it is just what I don't want to happen with people around the world.

Why did i choose my career?

Hi there! Today i will answer an important question. The question is why did i choose my carrer?
Choosing this career was quite hard for me at the beggining, because i had no idea what i wanted for my future. I thought i was no talent at any area. I had bad marks at Maths and also at Language, so i wasn’t neither an humanistic nor a mathematic person.
When i was at 3th grade at high school i began to think about my future career, and then i discovered that i wanted to study something related to health. I wanted to improve people’s health, so i had decided to study Medical Technology at Universidad de Chile.
My plans lasted until 4th grade, when i talked to my chemistry teacher about my plans for the future. She told me that the career was good, but she thought that i had to work with science. She told me she had seen a kind of talent on me, that i knew lots of chemistry. She invited me to learn some more about Chemistry and Pharmaceutics.
I investigated about the career, as my teacher said, and then i literally fallen in love. The career had a perfect balance between health and science, so i finally decided to study Chemistry and Pharmaceutics at Universidad de Chile.
Now i’m having a really good experience studying the career that i wanted at the University i wanted and that’s an experience that everyone should live once.

In the future i want to work on a laboratory, making new medicines for people.

I hope you had enjoyed my post!

Meeting Yanara

Hi! Today i will present myself.

First of all, my name is Yanara Garrido. I really love my name because of their meaning. Yanara means ''sunset'' for the Aymaras.

I was born on October 27th 1997, in Clinic Las Lilas, Santiago.

My parents are Jaime and Mariela. I live with both of them and i also live with my two sisters, Millaray and Amaya, and with two of my cousins, Christian and Felipe.

My school years began at San Fernando Elementary School when I was a little girl. I was there from ''Pre kinder'' to 6th grade. Then i studied at Augusto D'Halmar High School from 7th grade until the end of my school years. Now i am on my first year as an universitary student at Universidad de Chile. I'm studying Chemistry and Pharmaceutics.

Of course my life is more fun than just studies and things like that. On my free time i love to run. I'm an athlete since I am 8 years old. I run short distances, like 100 and 200 meters.

I love music and i like playing drums and violin. My favourite artists are Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Fall Out Boy and Blink 182.

I couldn't let pass this opportunity to talk about my friends. I have a group of 9 friends, they are the best people i've ever met. We were classmates at Augusto D'Halmar High School and fortunately we still talking.

I will left some pictures down here so you can understand some of the things I’ve talked.

Thanks for reading!

Here i was waiting on a competition.

This is Augusto D'Halmar High School. It's on Ñuñoa.
